ORCHARD™

Gardenscreen™ ORCHARD™

A whimiscal organic pattern with linear movement. Soft botanical beauty with the benefit of 90%+ privacy.

Gardenscreen™ is a great solution to create a playful sculptural effect within a garden-bed. Whether its for a dramatic entrance, driveway feature where a full fence is not desire or allowed, or just to create vertical interest in any garden area.

CONSTRUCTION

ORCHARD™ 1200x600 panels are fitted into solid timber posts on 2 sides (cypress pine or treated pine). A 10mm diameter 17mm deep slot is routed in each post, allow the panel to be slotted in. Discrete countersunk screws are driven in from the back side of post at top and bottom to mechanical fix the panel in.

WOOLOOMAI™ & UKIYOE™

Gardenscreen™ WOOLOOMAI™

A gently ‘impressionisitic’ swirling pattern reminiscent on the ocean, river rapids or in vertical orientation, floral forms. Beauty with the benefit of 80% privacy. WOOLOOMAI™ is shown here in an exterior white finished, post-painted with acrylic exterior paint. (Available in NATURAL BROWN)

Gardenscreen™ is perfect for pergola panelling or features on other built areas to create the “outdoor room” whilst balance light, privacy, spacial division and outdoor ambience. We’ve created a louvred effect here, but this feature could equally use a simple flat frame, or panels with air gaps to fill an unusual size area.

Construction

Panels are face-mounted to a treated pine frame with wafer-head screws. 32x35mm (custom section is used here) standard sections of 35/45x70, 35/45x90 can be used. The 45mm solid border allows these common sections to be concealed from one side. Other alternatives might be RHS Steel frames in more functional applications like gates, doors or where the feature is going onto a solid wall lighter weight timber battens could be used.

GALAPOGOS™

Sculpted Wall Panels
Sculpted Walling PanelsAlternative to Rust Screens

Scupltboard™ GALAPOGOS™

  1. Inspired by the fortified shells of giant and majestic turtles, this pattern is also reministent of old world shingles and masonry giving it stoic majesty, but also lending itself to an ultra modern geometric look. Painted in Colourbond/ Dulux Colour Dune.

In many contemporary homes, there is a desire to ‘transition’ from indoor to outdoor, (be it front entrance or rear enteratining area) where a large glazed opening (doors or windows) extend the interior view into the outdoor area, and a striking feature wall like this, can draw the eye to, and connect the spaces. This concept not only extends the living function of the house outside in summer, but also creates a visual illusion of enlarging and enlightening the interior space, by improving the exterior diaorama.

Construction

Sculptboard™ 1200x600 panels are fixed here with an exterior grade adhesive. This is enables invisible fixing but requires careful preparation and lay-up. In this case the panels were fixed to the treated pine frame whilst horizontal, using 2mm spacers to allow a consistent expansion joint. Small nails, with a bradgun may also be an additional fix, if filling and post-painting is an option.

STAR ANAIS™

Alternative to Steel Screens
Alternative to Laser Cut Steel

Gardenscreen™ STAR ANAIS™

Just a very smart architectural solution. Simple spartan geometry with influences of japanese, middle eastern or 20cc modernism, contemporary statement that will work with the visual language of many architectural types and will date well.

Gardenscreen™ is so versatile to build and clad any form in the outdoors. The advantage of 90%+ design is you can use it as a cladding. This planter concept Also a great idea for a storage benches around a pool, equipment cabinet or to hide utilities.

Construction

We created a tapered detail here which takes a little more technique, but a squared box version is easy to frame-up and is suitable for a multitude of features. To achieve the taper we create square-corner rectangular frames and fixed a block with a compound taper on 2 front edge. We then clad the corner blocks with Gardenscreen™ Infill Panel.
